Radon testing courtesy of epa.gov/radon

"The U.S. Surgeon General recommends all homes be tested for radon gas.  Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas released in rock, soil and water that can build up to dangerous levels inside any home; this means new and old homes, well sealed and drafty homes, and homes with or without a basement.  Radon gas is odorless and invisible and the only way to know if your home has a radon problem is to test for it."  Unfortunately, North Georgia, and in particular, the Metro Atlanta area is in the hot zone for radon elevation, and the only way to know for sure is to have a test performed.  As an IAC2 certified tester we are well equipped to provide an accurate analysis of the building.

The testing takes a minimum of 48 hours of continuous monitoring for real estate transactions.  The results will be emailed at the end of testing.  We only use professional equipment (Sun Nuclear 1028 and 1028 XP) which are calibrated annually.

  • Fee with a home inspection is $200.

  • Testing without a home inspection varies by location is $225-$250
